Diagnose and repair complex marine propulsion systems, ensuring peak operational efficiency and reliability. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a wide range of marine vessels, from small craft to large commercial ships. Conduct thorough inspections of hull integrity, rigging, and safety equipment, identifying and rectifying potential hazards. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including navigation, communication, and power distribution networks. Possess an Associate's degree or vocational training in Marine Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Hold relevant certifications such as ABYC, NMEA, or specific engine manufacturer qualifications. Demonstrate 3-5 years of hands-on experience in marine engine repair and systems maintenance. Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing diesel and gasoline marine engines.
