*Data Entry Accountant* *Job Title:* Data Entry Accountant *Department:* Finance / Accounting *Reports To:* Finance Manager / Chief Accountant *Salary:* 3,000 AED - 3,500 AED - NON Negotiable *Job Summary* We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Accountant to accurately record, process, and maintain financial transactions and accounting data. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical accuracy, familiarity with basic accounting principles, and experience working with accounting or ERP software. Exposure to platforms such as Shopify, Odoo, or similar systems is a plus but not essential. *Key Responsibilities* * Enter financial transactions (invoices, receipts, payments, journal entries) into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner * Reconcile data entries against source documents (invoices, bank statements, purchase orders) * Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and databases * Process accounts payable and accounts receivable entries * Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures * Verify and correct discrepancies in financial data * Prepare basic financial reports and summaries as required * Maintain confidentiality of financial information * Support the finance team with administrative and clerical accounting tasks * Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards * Assist in maintaining product/inventory-related financial data (e.g., syncing sales data from e-commerce platforms) where applicable *Requirements* *Education* * Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field *Experience* * 1–3 years of experience in data entry, bookkeeping, or an accounting support role * Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or similar) required * Experience with ERP systems such as Odoo, Shopify, or similar platforms is preferred but not essential *Skills* * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Good understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, reconciliations) * Proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables a plus) * Fast and accurate typing/data entry skills * Good organizational and time-management skills * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines * Good communication skills *Preferred Qualifications* * Hands-on experience with Odoo (accounting, inventory, or sales modules) * Familiarity with Shopify order/sales data and how it feeds into accounting records * Exposure to multi-currency or multi-entity accounting environments *Key Attributes* * Reliable, honest, and trustworthy in handling financial data * Methodical and process-driven * Comfortable learning new software systems quickly Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month Application Question(s): * We need someone who is available immediately - are you available immediately? any applicants with notice period will not be considered for this role!
