To execute the finished goods transportation schedule in the most optimal manner. Execution of finished goods transportation schedule Ensure adherence to the schedule prepared by the Sales & Marketing department and Manager Planning for transportation of finished goods Ensure timely completion of the loading operations Coordinate with the Senior Executive - Logistics to arrange for required resources (vehicles, drivers, helpers etc) for the scheduled trips Work with Arasco Logistics to ensure truck availability as per the nature of the consignment and arrange for alternative means of shipping in case of non availability of trucks from Arasco Logistics Ensure delivery of finished goods at customer sites and depots as per schedule to minimize delays to the customers Coordinate with internal customers to communicate any delays and expected time of truck arrival Ensure complete documentation pertaining to transportation of finished goods Report the deviation from the plan on daily basis. Improving Logistics Performance Work with Senior Executive - Logistics in enhancing transportation capacities based on the capacity expansion plans of ACP. The jobholder will be involved in managing transportation of finished goods from the ACP plant to customer sites. The jobholder has to maintain good relations with his team and the customers to ensure smooth operations. Internal: Ongoing communication with the Senior Executive Logistics and Managers in the plant to ensure availability of quantities to be delivered Ongoing communication with the Sales Managers, whenever necessary, in order to ensure delivery of accurate product specifications and quantity to the customers in a timely manner External: With Arasco Logistics for fleet related issues, and with external transporters in case of unavailability of trucks from Arasco Logistics. Contingency planning and implementing when required; decisions to be taken in consultation with the Senior Executive - Logistics. Diploma in the relevant field with 4+ years of relevant experience OR Secondary School Education / Basic Vocation Training with 6+ yrs of relevant experience Skills: Working knowledge of the process of transportation and logistics Knowledge of customer locations and distances Knowledge of logistics services and rates in the region Knowledge of shipping documentation and guidelines Working knowledge of Microsoft Office ( MS-Excel, MS- PowerPoint , MS- Word&MS Outlook) Working knowledge of Arabic and English language.
