Commercial Manager - Post Contract

Oversee and manage all commercial aspects of awarded contracts, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks throughout the contract lifecycle. Lead and negotiate variations, claims, and extensions of time, securing favorable outcomes for the organization. Manage the contract payment process, including reviewing valuations, issuing payment certificates, and resolving disputes. We are looking for a Commercial Manager – Post Contract with strong experience in managing commercial and contractual matters for large-scale building projects in the UAE. Key Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent. Minimum 12–15 years of UAE/GCC experience in post-contract commercial management. Proven experience working on projects with Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding Real Estate. Strong track record in: – Variation management and finalization. – Preparation, negotiation, and close-out of variation claims. – Commercial correspondence and contractual notices. – Cost control, CVR, and project commercial reporting. – Final account preparation and settlement. – Subcontract administration and commercial management. Sound knowledge of FIDIC-based contracts and UAE construction practices. Ability to lead a team of Quantity Surveyors and coordinate with Project Managers, Consultants, and Clients. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications MRICS / MCIArb membership preferred. Experience with major villa, high-rise, and mixed-use developments. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel reporting. Key Focus Area The candidate must have demonstrated experience in closing high-value variations and final accounts with Emaar and DHRE projects, including successful negotiation and agreement of commercial settlement
