Compliance Manager

About this opportunity

· Establish, Review, Upgrade and Strengthen Compliance Programs and Practices. · Adhere to and ensure continuous compliance in respect of the reporting and regulatory requirements of the concerned regulators and institutions, including, but not limited to, the Capital Markets Authority “CMA”, Boursa Kuwait “Boursa”, and Ministry of Commerce and industry “MOCI”, Kuwait Clearing Company “KCC” and act as the principle point of contact. · Act as the Compliance Manager regarding the firm’s regulatory duties and responsibilities, day-to-day compliance duties, regulations and practices. · Responsible for the continuous filing of audited financial statements and subsequent regulatory requirements. · Advise management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations through periodic and detailed reports. · Advise all stakeholders on the standards and regulatory procedures to be maintained as per CMA, KCC and Boursa Kuwait. · Ensure that required information is effectively communicated to the stakeholders of the company as and when required and within the required timelines. · Create and manage timely, efficient, and effective action plans in response to discoveries and compliance violations. · Regularly update company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks. · Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes. · Work closely with HR when complying with CMA’s requirements to register employees in certain positions as insider. · Consult with attorneys and other professionals on compliance matters. · Ensures that all due diligence is carried out as required for the compliance processes. · Ensures that discretion is maintained with regards to handling sensitive and critical information of the company.
