JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for ensuring that the pipe machine is running at optimal speed while preventive maintenance and other parameters are taken care of before and during the process to meet the production schedule and quality standards KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES HSE Comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions Use personal protective equipment and safety gear when performing assigned tasks Keep operational areas clean and well organized to prevent incidents and accidents Maintain assigned tools, equipment and machinery in good working order Report on unsafe acts, incidents or safety violations Production workflow: Ensure that the Machine operates efficiently to get maximum pipes output with minimal wastage Self QC and coordinate with Quality Control to ensure the pipe thickness, product quality and stencil/label are meeting the design requirements Direct and oversee the setup of the machine and mandrel to ensure correct alignment before and during production run Ensure that the resins are correctly mixed, and the correct raw materials are available before starting production Understand product finishing process and select correct finishing procedure Monitor the use of raw materials and consumables during manufacturing and minimize waste Report on production outputs and efficiencies Coordinate with maintenance when equipment or machinery breaks Reporting: Inform the superior about the daily output status to ensure schedules are met Report any accidents, problems, mistakes or non–conformities faced during production to the superior for prompt actions and solutions Employee Effectiveness: Supervise the mechanics/operators to ensure the production process is conducted in a safe and efficient manner Promote employee engagement & team effectiveness Train employees in processes, procedures and HSE Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide staff feedback Establish subordinates’ annual objectives and targets SPAN OF COMMUNICATION Internal: Production, Stores, QC and Maintenance Departments External: N/A
