Oversee the daily execution of maintenance and repair activities for mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation systems, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational efficiency. Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment to achieve departmental goals. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize the lifespan of critical equipment. Troubleshoot complex technical issues, diagnose root causes, and implement effective solutions to restore system functionality. Manage spare parts inventory and procurement, ensuring availability of necessary components while controlling costs. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies. Review and approve work orders, job plans, and technical reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and production, to integrate maintenance activities with overall operational objectives. Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks, promoting a strong safety culture and identifying potential hazards. Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures through analysis of performance data and implementation of best practices. Possession of a Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in a supervisory role within the relevant industry (e.g., oil and gas, manufacturing, power generation). Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, TUV, specific vendor certifications) demonstrating specialized expertise. Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse technical teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance. Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation systems. Strong understanding of safety regulations, risk assessment, and environmental compliance. Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and data analysis. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a pragmatic approach to resolving technical challenges. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with all levels of the organization. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing operational demands.
