*About the Role* We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of complex enterprise virtualization environments for a major client in Riyadh. In this role, you will lead the design, optimization, and daily management of large-scale data centers. You will be the go-to technical expert for everything from hyper-converged infrastructure and storage integration to disaster recovery strategy and lifecycle management. *What You Will Do* * Take charge of the end-to-end lifecycle for enterprise VMware environments, primarily utilizing vSphere 7 and 8. * Drive the administration and optimization of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and hyper-converged infrastructure, with a strong focus on VxRail clusters and SDDC Manager. * Design and maintain secure, software-defined network architectures using NSX-T, handling everything from micro-segmentation to distributed routing. * Automate routine infrastructure tasks, monitor system health, and plan capacity using the Aria Suite, Ansible, and PowerCLI. * Execute smooth P2V/V2V workload consolidations and handle cross-platform transitions (such as moving from Hyper-V or Nutanix to VMware) utilizing HCX. * Ensure seamless connectivity between virtualization hosts and enterprise storage networks (SAN/NAS), managing LUNs, multipathing, and Fibre Channel configurations across major vendor platforms. * Develop and routinely test robust business continuity plans utilizing Veeam and Site Recovery Manager (SRM) to guarantee critical RPO and RTO targets are met. * Oversee the physical server hardware layer, troubleshooting and provisioning enterprise blade setups like Dell PowerEdge, MX chassis, and HPE ProLiant. *What You Bring to the Team* * *Experience:* At least 8 years of dedicated, hands-on technical experience managing enterprise data centers and VMware ecosystems. * *Certifications:* An active VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) is required. Additional credentials like VCAP, NSX, or Azure (AZ-104) will help you stand out. * *Technical Mastery:* Proven expertise working directly with the modern VMware stack, specifically VCF (4.x/5.x), vSAN, vCenter, and HA/DRS cluster optimization. * *Hardware & Networking:* Strong background working with top-tier hardware (like Dell VxRail and enterprise blade servers) alongside solid network fundamentals including VLANs, HSRP, and switch configurations. * *Operating Systems:* Comfortable navigating and administering both Windows Server environments (Active Directory) and Linux distributions (Ubuntu/RHEL). * *Problem Solving:* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform accurate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and clearly communicate technical solutions directly to business stakeholders.
