*Job Title:* AV Programmer / Testing & Commissioning Engineer *Employment Type:* Full-time *Location:* [Abu Dhabi, UAE] *Experience:* 3–6 years *Industry:* Audio Visual / ELV / System Integration *Job Description* We are looking for an experienced *AV Programmer / Testing & Commissioning Engineer* to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for *AV system programming, configuration, integration, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and final handover* for commercial, corporate, hospitality, government, and other AV projects. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with AV control systems, DSP programming, system integration, testing, and commissioning, with the ability to independently troubleshoot and deliver complete AV systems. *Key Responsibilities* * Program, configure, test, and commission integrated *Audio Visual systems*. * Develop and modify AV control system programs based on approved system designs and project requirements. * Configure *AV control processors, touch panels, keypads, user interfaces, and room control systems*. * Develop control logic, user interfaces, automation sequences, and system macros. * Configure and program *DSP systems* for audio processing, mixing, routing, EQ, feedback suppression, and room tuning. * Configure and troubleshoot *AV over IP systems* and associated network infrastructure. * Configure communication between AV devices using *TCP/IP, RS-232, RS-485, IR, GPIO, relay, and other control protocols*. * Perform system integration between AV systems and third-party systems such as *BMS, lighting control, shading, room booking, and building automation systems*. * Conduct complete *testing and commissioning* of AV systems according to approved designs and project specifications. * Perform signal-flow testing and verify audio/video quality and system functionality. * Conduct functional testing of all control sequences, user interfaces, and automated functions. * Troubleshoot programming, configuration, networking, hardware, and integration issues. * Carry out system tuning, optimization, and performance adjustments. * Prepare and execute *Testing & Commissioning (T&C) procedures, checklists, and test reports*. * Coordinate with project managers, AV designers, installation teams, consultants, and clients during commissioning. * Attend consultant/client inspections and demonstrations. * Identify and close technical snags and commissioning issues. * Prepare *as-built programming files, configuration backups, system documentation, and handover documents*. * Conduct client demonstrations and provide basic operator training. * Provide technical support during project handover and warranty periods. * Travel to project sites within the UAE as required. *Required Technical Skills* * Strong experience in *AV programming, system integration, testing, and commissioning*. * Experience with one or more professional AV control platforms such as: * *Crestron* * *Extron* * *AMX* * *Q-SYS* * Biamp * Symetrix * Similar professional DSP platforms * Good knowledge of *Dante / AES67* and networked audio systems. * Understanding of AV signal flow and system architecture. * Good knowledge of *TCP/IP networking, VLANs, IP addressing, PoE, and network troubleshooting*. * Knowledge of control protocols including *TCP/IP, UDP, RS-232, RS-485, IR, GPIO, and relay control*. * Ability to read and understand *AV schematics, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, and system architecture drawings*. * Experience with video signal standards such as *HDMI, SDI, HDBaseT, DisplayPort, and AV-over-IP*. * Knowledge of video conferencing platforms and hardware is an advantage. *Requirements* * Bachelor's/Diploma in *Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, Audio Visual Technology, or a related field*. * *3–6 years of relevant experience* in AV programming, testing, commissioning, and system integration. * *Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.* * Hands-on experience with professional AV control and DSP platforms. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently on project commissioning and client handover. * Good communication and coordination skills. * Ability to read technical drawings and project specifications. * UAE/GCC project experience will be an advantage. * Manufacturer certifications such as *Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Dante, or similar* will be an advantage. * Candidates available to join immediately or on short notice will be preferred. *Key Skills* *AV Programming | AV Integration | Testing & Commissioning | Crestron | Extron | AMX | Q-SYS | DSP Programming | Biamp | Dante | AV over IP | TCP/IP | Control Systems | Audio Systems | Video Systems | Video Conferencing | Troubleshooting | System Integration | Client Handover* *What We Offer* * Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. * Exposure to diverse and technically challenging AV projects. * Opportunity to work with leading AV technologies and manufacturers. * Professional development and technical training opportunities. * Supportive and technically focused working environment.
