1. Accounting & Project Finance * Resolve critical data migration, implementation, reporting, and system-related gaps within *SAP S/4HANA and Yardi* to ensure accurate project-wise financial visibility. * Oversee project cost accounting and ensure project costs, commitments, and payments are accurately tracked, analyzed, and reported against approved budgets and business plans. * Ensure accurate and timely recording and reconciliation of *Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and other financial transactions*. * Ensure timely resolution of accounting discrepancies and issues within agreed SLAs. * Oversee inventory accounting, including valuation, recording, reconciliation, and controls. * Ensure appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies. * Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, classification, depreciation, reconciliation, and maintenance of the fixed asset register. 2. Budgeting & Cost Control * Monitor financial transactions against approved budgets and identify potential overspend at an early stage. * Provide management with timely budget-versus-actual analysis and actionable insights for decision-making. * Prepare and present *contract cost incurred versus budget* reports for the month and contract-to-date on a monthly basis. * Work closely with the Finance Director and HODs to identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities. * Support effective resource allocation to maintain financial stability and operational efficiency. 3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management * Monitor company and project cash flows and prepare regular cash flow forecasts. * Ensure adequate liquidity to meet operational and project requirements. * Coordinate with Procurement, Operations, vendors, and internal stakeholders to manage payment priorities and working capital. * Monitor vendor commitments and payment schedules to support strong supplier relationships and effective cash management. 4. Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing * Lead and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process. * Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with *IFRS and applicable accounting standards*. * Support the monthly FSCP process and identify areas requiring course correction. * Establish and strengthen account reconciliation processes and controls. * Prepare monthly financial reports, management dashboards, and key financial insights for management review. * Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information. 5. Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable * Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process, including invoicing, collections, customer account reconciliation, and receivables monitoring. * Develop effective collection strategies to improve cash flow and minimize overdue balances. * Supervise Accounts Payable activities, ensuring invoices are properly verified, approved, recorded, and processed within agreed timelines. * Monitor vendor payment schedules and ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls. * Conduct regular vendor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. 6. Audit, Risk & Compliance * Lead and coordinate external and internal audits and act as the key finance contact for auditors. * Ensure financial records, processes, and controls comply with applicable regulatory requirements and audit standards. * Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements. * Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks, including insurance and local regulatory risks. * Develop and maintain secure procedures for protecting confidential financial and business information. * Ensure completeness, accuracy, and reliability of financial data and supporting documentation. 7. ERP, Automation & Finance Transformation * Drive continuous improvement and automation across accounting and finance processes. * Support and lead ERP implementation, optimization, data migration, and reporting improvements across *SAP S/4HANA and Yardi*. * Identify opportunities to eliminate manual and paper-based processes and move towards digital workflows. * Develop and implement financial dashboards, automated reporting, reconciliation tools, and process automation. * Explore and implement appropriate *Bots, AI, and other emerging technologies* to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making. * Establish standardized processes and controls to improve the scalability and efficiency of the finance function. 8. Team Leadership & Resource Management * Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants. * Allocate resources effectively based on business and project requirements. * Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and SLAs for the finance team. * Monitor team performance and ensure timely completion of accounting and reporting activities. * Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and process excellence. 9. Stakeholder & Vendor Management * Work closely with the Finance Director and HODs on financial planning, cost management, and business performance. * Collaborate with Procurement and Operations on vendor management, purchasing commitments, project costs, and payment planning. * Maintain effective relationships with auditors, banks, vendors, customers, and other external stakeholders. * Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making.Education & Professional Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in *Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline*. Experience * *8+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience*, preferably within project-driven, contracting, construction, real estate, engineering, or similar environments. * Proven experience managing accounting teams and end-to-end finance operations. * Hands-on experience with *SAP S/4HANA and/or Yardi* is highly desirable. * Experience in ERP implementation, data migration, process automation, and financial reporting transformation. * Experience in project cost accounting and budget control is strongly preferred. * Professional qualification such as *CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent* is preferred. * Strong knowledge of *IFRS, financial accounting, budgeting, project accounting, and financial controls*.
