Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair trailers and semi-trailers. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on trailer mechanical systems. Repair and maintain braking, suspension, axle, wheel, and steering systems. Troubleshoot air brake and hydraulic systems. Identify faulty components and carry out necessary replacements and repairs. Conduct routine inspections to ensure trailers are safe and roadworthy. Perform welding and basic fabrication work when required. Maintain proper maintenance and repair records. Follow workshop safety procedures and company maintenance standards. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Trailer Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. Hands-on experience in trailer inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Strong knowledge of brake, suspension, axle, wheel, steering, air brake, and hydraulic systems. Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance. Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs independently. ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant technical trade preferred. Good understanding of workshop safety procedures.
