Posted: 02/10/2026

About this opportunity

*Role Overview* We are seeking a senior, commercially savvy SAP MDG Lead to take full ownership of our Master Data Governance (MDG) strategy, data taxonomy design, and operational governance framework during our enterprise transformation from legacy Oracle E Business Suite (EBS) to SAP S/4HANA (RISE with SAP). This role requires a rare combination of technical SAP expertise, robust business acumen, and strong executive leadership. As our enterprise data authority, you will actively engage with business heads, cross-functional domain owners, and implementation partners (including Chain Sys) to establish a unified data taxonomy, mandate strict governance standards, and challenge legacy business practices that compromise data quality. *Key Responsibilities* *1. Business Engagement, Leadership & Governance Enforcement* ● Challenge & Influence Business Leadership: Drive buy-in across business units; proactively challenge business teams on legacy data habits, non-standard taxonomies, and uncoordinated master data creation. ● Establish Governance Frameworks: Define, implement, and enforce enterprise-wide master data policies, standards, data ownership matrices, and operating models across all business functions. ● Chair Data Governance Council: Lead cross-functional alignment forums, resolve domain ownership disputes, and secure executive sign-off on master data definitions and taxonomy decisions. ● Drive Change & Business Accountability: Foster a strong data quality culture; hold business stakeholders accountable for maintaining master data integrity throughout the migration and post-go-live operating state. *2. Master Data Taxonomy & Architecture Strategy* ● Architect Enterprise Taxonomy: Design and maintain clear, standardized data taxonomies, hierarchies, and metadata structures across core SAP domains (Material/Product, Business Partner/Vendor/Customer, Financials/COA, Assets). ● Align Business & Technical Data Models: Translate business processes into structured SAP S/4HANA data requirements, ensuring seamless transition from legacy Oracle EBS data structures. *3. Migration Execution & Partner Oversight* ● Manage Migration Workstreams: Lead data cleansing, enrichment, mapping, and validation activities in close collaboration with system integrators and partners using migration platforms (e.g., ChainSys Data Management Suite). ● Data Quality KPI Oversight: Define, monitor, and report critical Data Quality (DQ) metrics, readiness scorecards, and audit trails to executive management throughout the S/4HANA RISE journey. *Required Qualifications & Experience* ●Total Experience: Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience leading Master Data Governance (MDG) and Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives in complex enterprise environments. ● SAP S/4HANA Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience leading SAP MDG implementations and data migrations within SAP S/4HANA (RISE with SAP) environments. ● Legacy ERP Experience: Track record of migrating data from Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to SAP S/4HANA is preferred ● Leadership & Business Acumen: Exceptional commercial acumen with a proven track record of influencing senior leadership, driving accountability, and upholding governance standards in resistance-prone environments. ● Communication & Assertiveness: Excellent executive-level presentation and negotiation skills in English; capable of articulating the business value of data governance to non-technical leaders. ● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. *Preferred Qualifications* ●Experience operating within enterprise environments in the Dubai / UAE region. ● Hands-on familiarity with ChainSys migration tools or similar automated data extraction and transformation platforms. ● Certification in SAP MDG or DAMA-CDMP / Data Governance frameworks. Pay: AED11,000.00 - AED24,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
