Position: Business Development Manager – International Law Firm Compensation: Competitive Salary, plus benefits Location: Dubai, UAE Overview Gateworth is supporting a leading international law firm which is looking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager to lead cross-practice growth strategies within the Middle East. Working closely with Partners and BD colleagues, this role will drive client development initiatives, oversee strategic pitch and proposal activity, and enhance the firm's market position across key sectors and jurisdictions. Main Responsibilities • Design and coordinate partner-led client targeting programmes, ensuring consistent follow-up and opportunity tracking. • Conduct competitor analysis and market mapping to identify emerging trends, client needs and areas for differentiation. • Work with regional and global counterparts to align local business development activities with firmwide strategic priorities. • Monitor practice area performance metrics, preparing reports and recommendations to support revenue growth objectives. • Oversee the development and delivery of tailored pitches and RFP responses, working closely with partners and global bids team. • Champion the use of CRM systems and BD technology to enhance opportunity management, client intelligence and reporting accuracy. • Support the preparation and submission of legal directory rankings and awards submissions, including coordinating information gathering, drafting content, and managing submission timelines. • Plan and execute firm event delivery, liaising with internal and external stakeholders for venue arrangements, logistics and attendee invitation. • Monitor market developments, client activity, and industry news to identify potential opportunities for cross-selling, collaboration, and client engagement across practices and offices. • Contribute towards profile raising activity, working with the wider BD function and Partners to design and execute effective client development strategies. Qualifications • Our client will look to recruit a business development professional with at least 2-3 years experience at a Manager level within an international law firm. • Proven track record working in a business development/marketing role ideally in the UAE or market with coverage including the Middle East. • This role will work closely alongside cross functional teams therefore the individual should be able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
