Event Technical Manager (Scenic Build)

UAE Based applicants preferred Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Project Dates: 15th November - 15th December 2026 (plus build and dismantle periods) Description THA by Armonia is recruiting an experienced Event Technical Manager for a Conference/Exhibition in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Production Director, you will lead the technical delivery of the scenic build. You will check that every drawing, structure and material is safe, compliant and buildable, and that the build reaches final technical acceptance ready for handover. Requirements Key Responsibilities Review and coordinate scenic CAD and drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, construction details, setting-out drawings and specifications Review structural details, calculations, fixing methods, floor loadings, height limits, access requirements and temporary works Assess BOQs, material schedules, samples, prototypes and mock-ups for technical suitability, durability, finish and buildability Coordinate and track all technical submissions: drawings, material certificates, structural documentation, RAMS, and approvals required by venue management and the relevant authorities Lead snagging, rectification and final technical acceptance before handover Requirements Proven experience as a Technical Manager or Technical Production Manager on large-scale exhibition stands, pavilions or major events Strong ability to read and check CAD and shop drawings, structural calculations and specifications Sound knowledge of temporary works, floor loadings and structural safety for event builds Experience preparing and managing RAMS and technical submissions; knowledge of large exhibition venues or similar UAE venue and authority approvals is highly desirable Detail-focused, organised and confident working with contractors and venue teams Available for the full build, live and dismantle period in Abu Dhabi Benefits Competitive project fee The chance to deliver a high-profile international event at a leading UAE venue
