Purpose of the Role Job Responsibilities: Handle complete mechanical maintenance activities during the shift in the rolling mill Ensure smooth functioning of plant equipment with minimum breakdowns Lead and supervise a team of technicians and fitters during shift operations Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment Monitor equipment health and take corrective actions to avoid downtime Coordinate with production team to ensure uninterrupted operations Maintain shift reports, maintenance logs, and downtime analysis Ensure proper utilization of manpower, tools, and spares Follow and enforce safety standards and maintenance procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance efficiency
