Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients requiring radiation therapy for various malignant conditions Develop individualized radiotherapy treatment plans based on cancer type, stage, and patient condition Plan and supervise external beam radiation therapy, IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, and stereotactic radiotherapy, within authorized clinical privileges Provide SBRT, SRS, or brachytherapy services where appropriately trained and credentialed Interpret diagnostic investigations, including CT, MRI, PET-CT, and other oncological imaging Monitor treatment response and manage acute and long-term radiation-related complications Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, treatment assessments, and follow-up evaluations Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings and collaborate on comprehensive cancer treatment strategies Work closely with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists Educate patients and families regarding radiotherapy procedures, expected outcomes, and potential side effects Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, radiation protection requirements, quality assurance protocols, and patient safety standards Requirements Qualifications MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree Recognized postgraduate qualification in Radiation Oncology / Clinical Oncology, with appropriate radiation oncology training Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant-level qualification American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European, or other internationally recognized qualifications are highly desirable Minimum 5-10 years of relevant post-specialization experience preferred Strong expertise in radiotherapy planning, advanced radiation treatment techniques, and multidisciplinary cancer management Experience with linear accelerators, treatment planning systems, and modern radiotherapy technologies Eligible for DOH Consultant Radiation Oncology classification/license in Abu Dhabi, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements Benefits Competitive salary package and attractive employment benefits Opportunity to work in a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi Advanced radiotherapy equipment and modern oncology treatment facilities Medical insurance and annual leave, subject to applicable employment terms Excellent career growth and professional development opportunities Licensing assistance available for eligible candidates
