PLANNING ENGINEER – CIVIL

About this opportunity

Develop, update and maintain baseline programmes, detailed construction schedules and short-term look-ahead plans using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project. Monitor actual progress against planned targets, analyse critical-path activities and identify delays, slippages and potential schedule risks. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, progress dashboards and manpower/equipment histograms. Track drawing approvals, material submittals, procurement activities and long-lead deliveries against project milestones. Coordinate with civil, MEP and subcontractor teams to align work sequences, interfaces and site priorities. Assess manpower, equipment and resource requirements against planned activities and highlight any shortfalls. Develop and monitor recovery programmes with the project team, following up on agreed corrective and mitigation actions. Maintain planning records and assess the schedule impact of variations, changes and delay events to support extension-of-time submissions. Conduct regular site progress reviews and validate reported progress against actual site activities. Highlight programme risks, constraints and critical issues to the Project Manager and recommend suitable mitigation measures. Ensure schedule updates, progress data and supporting records are accurate and submitted within reporting deadlines. Hands-on experience with high-rise and mid-rise construction projects. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project. Good understanding of construction sequencing, critical path analysis, progress measurement and project reporting. Strong coordination, analytical and communication skills.
