Planning Engineer

About this opportunity

Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project. Prepare baseline programmes, detailed work schedules, look-ahead plans, and recovery schedules. Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays and critical activities. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and other departments to ensure timely project execution. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and progress presentations. Track manpower, equipment, materials, and construction activities against project requirements. Identify potential scheduling risks and recommend corrective actions. Review project progress and assist in preparing extension-of-time claims and delay analysis when required. Ensure planning activities align with project milestones, contractual requirements, and construction priorities. Minimum 5 years of planning experience in civil construction and infrastructure projects. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project. Strong knowledge of project scheduling, progress monitoring, and delay analysis. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications. Proficiency in MS Excel and project reporting. Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills. Oil & Gas or ADNOC project experience is an advantage.
