Purpose To identify supplier for basic and contractual materials required with lowest possible prices, suitable delivery dates and in accordance with required specifications. Job Responsibilities To review all purchasing requisitions to ensure clarity and completeness in description of material and equipment. To determine the suitable supplier according to the technical specifications of the purchasing requisition. To request and follow up on quotations from the company’s approved vendor list. To review material price comparisons during tendering stage. To review vendors’ quotations for compliance with required specifications and contractual conditions. To send vendors’ technical offers to projects and follow up on their evaluation. To review projects’ technical evaluation and inform the direct manager of any comments (if any). To negotiate with technically qualified vendors, to ensure that target prices, company’s terms and conditions will be met. To prepare final material comparison sheets. To regularly review vendor’s performance for continuous improvement. To maintain records of all purchases and related correspondences. To qualify new local and international vendors. Perform any other related tasks as assigned by direct manager.
