We take our work seriously. Ourselves, a little less so. Your Role Recruitment is a curious profession. Just when you think you've figured out a client, a candidate or a market, something comes along to prove otherwise. We're looking for recruiters and headhunters who enjoy that part of the job. People who are as comfortable opening doors and winning business as they are getting their teeth into a difficult search. You'll be responsible for building your own client relationships, identifying business opportunities, originating mandates and managing searches through to successful completion. That means understanding industries and businesses well enough to have meaningful conversations with decision-makers. Recognising hiring needs, sometimes before a formal mandate exists. Earning the confidence of clients, challenging a brief when necessary, and demonstrating why they should trust you with their search. On the execution side, you'll be researching markets, mapping talent, approaching people who aren't actively looking, assessing suitability and managing the recruitment process with care and persistence. We value people who can develop business without becoming transactional, and deliver searches without losing sight of the commercial relationship. What We're Looking For Proven experience in recruitment or executive search, with the appetite to continue building your practice. The ability to develop client relationships, originate mandates and convert opportunities into business. Commercial instinct, confidence and the credibility to engage with business leaders and hiring decision-makers. Strong research, sourcing and headhunting capability, including identifying talent beyond the obvious channels. The curiosity to understand industries, business models, markets and the challenges that drive hiring decisions. Sound judgment when assessing candidates, advising clients and managing expectations. Ownership of the entire recruitment cycle, from business development and mandate acquisition to successful placement. Persistence, resilience and the discipline to follow through, particularly when things don't go according to plan. The humility to recognise that there's always something more to learn. About the Designation We're deliberately not attaching a Consultant, Lead, Principal or other title to this opportunity. Your current designation matters less to us than what you can do, how you think and what still excites you about this profession. We're interested in people who are recruiters and headhunters at heart. Those who enjoy building a client relationship from scratch, winning a mandate on the strength of their understanding, finding someone others have overlooked and seeing a difficult search through to the end. The curiosity, the commercial instinct and the satisfaction of getting it right should still be very much alive. A sense of humour helps. Recruitment provides plenty of material.
