Backend Developer (Database and API)

About this opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, C#/.NET, API development, SQL Server and Azure. The role involves developing and maintaining backend applications, APIs, database systems and integrations supporting our e-commerce and business operations. Build and manage backend applications using C#, .NET Core and .NET Framework. Develop, maintain and optimise RESTful APIs using Node.js and .NET. Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views and triggers. Integrate APIs with internal applications, third-party platforms and external systems. Optimise database queries and application performance. Develop and maintain microservices and backend integrations. Deploy and manage applications using Microsoft Azure. Troubleshoot API, database and backend application issues. Ensure API security, reliability and scalability. Experience: 5–10 years of relevant hands-on backend development experience. Node.js & Strong programming skills and hands-on backend development experience. C# / .NET Core / .NET Framework: Strong coding and application development experience. REST API Development: Proven experience independently developing, integrating and maintaining RESTful APIs. MS SQL Server (2016/2019/2022): Advanced SQL, complex queries, stored procedures and database performance optimisation. Microsoft Azure: Experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions and application deployment. Troubleshooting: Strong debugging, problem-solving and application performance optimisation skills. Independent Development: Ability to independently develop, maintain and troubleshoot backend applications and system integrations.
