Role Description The Director role at Fantastic IT Solutions is a full-time, on-site position based in Pietermaritzburg. The Director will oversee overall business and technology strategy, ensuring that managed IT services align with client needs and company goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, managing key client relationships, and guiding the design and delivery of IT solutions and support services. The Director will monitor performance metrics, manage budgets, and drive operational efficiency across service delivery, projects, and support functions. This role also involves mentoring team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability, and identifying opportunities for growth, innovation, and service improvement. Qualifications Demonstrated leadership experience in IT services, managed services, or a related technology environment. Proven ability to develop and execute business and technology strategies that support growth and client satisfaction. Strong skills in team management, performance oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. Experience managing client relationships, contracts, and service-level expectations. Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity principles, and service management best practices. Competence in budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation for multi-team operations. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Track record of driving process improvement, change management, and operational optimization. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field; advanced degree is an advantage. Prior experience in a director-level or senior management position within the IT industry is strongly preferred.
