Role Overview Our client, an established engineering and manufacturing organisation, is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead its quality assurance and quality control activities. The role will ensure that products, fabrication activities and technical services meet company standards, client specifications and applicable regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will oversee multidisciplinary inspections, maintain the Quality Management System and drive continuous improvement across engineering, production and project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Quality Leadership and Management Systems Lead QA/QC and maintain an ISO 9001-compliant QMS. Establish quality objectives, procedures and acceptance criteria. Approve quality plans, ITPs and method statements, aligning inspections with project schedules. Technical Quality Control Oversee multidisciplinary inspections across fabrication, welding, piping, electrical, HVAC, architectural works and coatings. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, welding qualifications and material traceability requirements. Maintain equipment calibration and oversee final acceptance and handover. Audits and Continuous Improvement Lead internal audits and coordinate client and third-party inspections. Investigate non-conformances, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Monitor quality KPIs and drive improvements to reduce defects, rework and waste. Supplier and Subcontractor Quality Audit and qualify suppliers and subcontractors. Verify incoming materials and outsourced work, resolving quality issues with relevant teams. Team Leadership and Reporting Lead, train and develop the quality team. Maintain quality records and handover dossiers, and report performance and risks. Represent the quality function in client meetings and technical discussions. QHSE Compliance Ensure compliance with QHSE policies, regulations and integrated management systems. Promote risk-based thinking, safety, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement. Qualifications and Experience Degree in Engineering. Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering or technical operations, including at least 10 years in quality management . Lead Auditor certification covering quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental management systems. Strong experience in manufacturing, fabrication and multidisciplinary quality control. Sound knowledge of welding standards, material requirements and non-destructive examination/testing (NDE/NDT). Demonstrated experience managing inspections, audits, final acceptance and technical documentation. Proven ability to lead quality teams and coordinate with clients, suppliers and operational stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications NEBOSH Health and Safety Diploma or equivalent. NEBOSH Environmental Diploma or equivalent. Relevant inspection qualifications. Training in risk assessment, project management or business excellence.
