About the job Business Finance Analyst Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of job-related experience, in a finance, accounting, economics, data analytics, statistics, engineering or information systems discipline. At least 2 of those years in a role with demonstrable hands-on data analysis responsibility — building queries, models or dashboards, not solely consuming them. Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / CPA / CA), or a recognised analytics certification (e.g. Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst), is an advantage. Job Specific Skills – Essential Advanced Microsoft Excel, including Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formula construction and large-workbook performance management. Demonstrable working capability in Power Query / M for data extraction, transformation and load across multiple sources. Demonstrable working capability in Power BI: data modelling, DAX measures, report design, publishing and refresh management. Proven ability to work with large datasets (hundreds of thousands of records and above) and to reconcile analytical output to financial records.
