Location: Dubai, UAE – Client Site (On-Site) Experience: 5+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time Job Overview Proxima Networks seeks an experienced Resident Systems Engineer to provide on-site L1 and L2 technical support for Microsoft infrastructure and enterprise IT systems at a client location in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Microsoft infrastructure, Microsoft 365, virtualization, and systems administration, with excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to independently manage day-to-day IT operations while coordinating with L3 support for complex technical issues. Key Responsibilities Provide on-site L1 and L2 systems and infrastructure support, escalating complex technical issues to L3 support when required. Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and user permissions. Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Teams, Intune, and SharePoint Online. Manage Microsoft 365 licensing, users, roles, and access permissions. Support Microsoft security services, including MFA, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Defender. Administer and troubleshoot Exchange Online. Manage and support VMware or Hyper-V virtual environments. Monitor and manage backup and recovery operations. Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and TCP/IP connectivity issues. Provide hands-on infrastructure and end-user technical support. Manage incidents and service requests in accordance with agreed SLAs. Coordinate with L3 support teams and third-party providers to ensure timely resolution of complex issues. Maintain accurate system documentation, incident records, and change logs. Requirements Minimum 5 years of hands-on Systems Administration experience in enterprise IT environments. Strong Windows Server and Active Directory administration skills. Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience. Hands-on experience with Entra ID, Intune, Teams, and SharePoint Online. Good understanding of Microsoft security and access management. Strong VMware or Hyper-V administration experience. Experience with backup and recovery solutions. Strong networking fundamentals and troubleshooting skills. Experience providing L1/L2 infrastructure support and coordinating technical escalations. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Azure knowledge. PowerShell scripting experience. Exchange / Hybrid Exchange experience. Microsoft certifications such as AZ-802, MD-102, SC-300, AZ-104, or equivalent. Legacy MCSE / MCSA certifications are also valued. General Requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently at a customer site. Strong documentation and incident-management skills. Ability to coordinate effectively with L3 teams and external service providers. Strong customer-facing and problem-solving skills. Candidates currently residing in the UAE preferred. Note: This is a hands-on infrastructure administration role. Candidates should have substantial systems administration experience beyond basic helpdesk or desktop support.
