Conduct regular site visits to gather information and validate existing conditions for accurate drafting. Develop detailed MEP drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Utilize CAD software to create, modify, and optimize designs, prioritizing efficiency and clarity. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, and design changes. Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment. Implement quality control measures to review and verify draft accuracy before submission. Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and material take-offs for MEP systems. Stay updated with the latest building codes, regulations, and industry trends affecting MEP design. Participate in project meetings, providing insights and solutions to potential design challenges. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent technical diploma. Minimum of 3 years of experience in MEP drafting within the construction or engineering sectors. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant drafting software is essential for success. Certification in MEP design or drafting (e.g., LEED, BIM, or similar) is highly desirable. Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects is preferred for a competitive edge. Familiarity with local building codes and standards to ensure compliance in MEP design. Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and solve design-related issues effectively. Excellent communication skills to liaise with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
