We're Hiring | Consultant Rehabilitation Medicine Location: Abu Dhabi Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Rehabilitation Medicine physician to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE . The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and functional recovery management . Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with physical disabilities, functional impairments, and rehabilitation needs Develop individualized rehabilitation programs for patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and neurological disorders Manage musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, mobility limitations, and post-surgical rehabilitation Provide comprehensive rehabilitation care for patients with orthopedic injuries, amputations, and complex physical disabilities Conduct detailed functional assessments and establish personalized rehabilitation goals Perform electrodiagnostic evaluations, musculoskeletal injections, and other rehabilitation procedures, where appropriately trained and credentialed Evaluate and prescribe appropriate assistive devices, orthotics, prosthetics, and mobility aids Monitor rehabilitation progress and adjust treatment plans to improve functional outcomes Collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, and rehabilitation nurses Educate patients and families regarding rehabilitation goals, home exercise programs, disability management, and long-term recovery Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, rehabilitation protocols, clinical documentation, and patient safety standards Requirements Qualifications MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree Recognized postgraduate qualification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) / Rehabilitation Medicine Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant-level qualification American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European, or other internationally recognized qualifications are highly desirable Minimum 5-10 years of relevant post-specialization experience preferred Strong expertise in neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, functional assessment, and multidisciplinary rehabilitation management Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and multidisciplinary leadership skills Eligible for the appropriate DOH Consultant Rehabilitation Medicine classification/license in Abu Dhabi, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements Benefits Competitive salary package and attractive employment benefits Opportunity to work in a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi Modern rehabilitation facilities and advanced therapeutic technologies Medical insurance and annual leave, subject to applicable employment terms Excellent career growth and professional development opportunities Licensing assistance available for eligible candidates
