Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Highlights


  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to convert to permanent employment based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

  • Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 AM – 05:30 PM.

  • Training will be conducted at the Palmyra Clinic Tuesday – Thursday, 08:30 AM – 07:30 PM.

Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Responsibilities


  • Provide primary and family evidenced-based care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients.

  • Perform administrative duties including opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, collecting payment, and maintaining a clean environment.

  • Manage patient appointments and perform routine examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes.

  • Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices, complete diagnostic tests, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.

  • Encourage patients to actively participate in their healthcare and wellness through services such as health screenings, behavioral health, and chronic condition management.

  • Collaborate with a dedicated clinical care team to drive better outcomes for patient panels.

Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Requirements


  • Master’s Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification.

  • Active license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the state of employment.

  • Minimum of 1 year recent Primary Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner in either a family medicine or primary care practice preferred, or successful completion of CVS MinuteClinic primary care training program.

  • Working knowledge of quality measurement in chronic disease management.

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.

  • Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Initiative, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility.

  • Proficiency with information management and technology.

  • Willingness to obtain multi-state licensures.

  • Ability to collaborate with professional colleagues to ensure quality patient care.

  • Ability to work in a remote clinical care team environment.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
