GENERAL STATEMENT

SCOPE:
To Assist the Program Department by setting up audio/visual equipment prior to all scheduled events. To be the official Summer camp photographer and digitally record, store and archive all events, staff and campers at Camp Arnold. To assist Program generally throughout the day in planning and integrating program, helping observe activities or campers, being available as needed to help counselors. To work as a part of a team to reveal the person of Jesus Christ to our campers through our words, actions and programming.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Assist and nurture spiritual development of campers and staff.
- Oversee development of Camp Arnold and Alumni media and posting of media as appropriate on social media.
- Assist the Camp Director and Program with other duties as needed.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Capture digital still and video images of campers, activities, staff and grounds each week
- Save all images and videos in an organized manner, by week, on the O: drive
- Post images throughout the week via camp’s Facebook, YouTube and Instagram accounts
- Update photos and data on website as necessary
- Setup all sound, visual and computer equipment, as needed, for scheduled programming
- Maintain inventory of equipment – storing it safely and neatly between use
- If necessary train others to operate the equipment remembering that the safe use of all equipment is your responsibility
- Ensure that all media projects are completed and delivered within the established deadlines for each project
- Responsible to maintain the equipment in good repair and inform the Camp Director of any equipment issues
- Submit supply requests to the main office staff
- Assist Program in the oversight of camp programming
- Help with behavior management as needed
- Assist with scheduling, creating and implementing program as part of the team
- Assist Counselors as needed when your primary duties aren’t in conflict
- Ensure that you are on time with all setups for events – special and regularly scheduled. Sound must be setup and ready in plenty of time with sound check; Words, videos and/or presentation must be entered into computers, ran through a TV or projector, and tested prior to events
- Work alongside program to ensure everything is in place for the nightly campfire; whether campfire is held at the Amphitheater or a special location (e.g., pool).
- Work as a part of the Camp Team to facilitate the best possible experience for our campers. First and always our biggest priority

Health Insurance:Low bi-weekly premiums ($34.62) for employee only coverage, Kaiser HMO for those residing in a Kaiser service area, Anthem EPO/PPO is available for those residing outside of a Kaiser service area. Voluntary +1 and +family coverage at additional cost. Delta Dental DHMO and DPPO dental insurance offered starting at $2.31 bi-weekly cost. Employees are covered by an employer paid life insurance policy. Voluntary supplemental life, short-term and long-term disability plans are available.
Retirement Plans:Employer-funded Money Purchase Pension Plan (Defined Contribution Plan) 50% vested at 5 years eligible service time, employee funded voluntary 403(b) options
Parental Leave:Benefit will be one week (5 business days) of paid leave at the employee’s normal rate of pay for births, adoptions and foster placements.
Sick Leave:12 days annually accruing from day one, eligible for use after 3 months’ service time.
Paid Vacation:2 weeks annually accruing from day one, for non-exempt positions. 4 weeks annually accruing from day one, for exempt positions. Accrued vacation eligible for use after 6 months’ service time.
Paid Holidays:13 designated holidays + 1 floating holiday per year
