We are happy to announce a dynamic new practice opportunity for an LCSW, LMHC, or Psychologist to work for our community-based organization. As the Assistant Program Director, you would have an opportunity not only to help lead a team of 12 workers, but also a chance to enhance your clinical skills to a great degree. We have very person-centered approach to care and are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in people’s live. You would be working with patients who have chronic and long term mental health problems and manage a case load of less than 30 patients split amongst the team. Our organization specializes in treating patients who are some of the most vulnerable New Yorkers. Someone who is creative would do very well in this role. It would consist of field work and administrative. The works hours are normal business hours Monday through Friday with no weekends. Please see job highlights below for more information.
Title: Assistant Program Director (LCSW / LMHC)
Location: Bronx, NY
Salary: $79,000 to $80,000
Responsibilities:
Working directly with Program Director and other social workers to formulate plans for treatment services
Participating in team meetings and delegating tasks to colleagues
Doing routine field work with other staff member to patients out in the community
Giving psychosocial assessments of patients and monitoring behavioral health patterns on a week to week basis
Documenting notes in laptop EMR system
Screening participants in the program and developing care plan based on mental health status
Working closely with team members and addressing any concerns
Providing in depth counseling treatment for patients suffering from chronic and severe mental health illness
Communicating with patients about next steps in treatment process
Managing a small case load of patients and responsible for seeing 1 or 2 patients daily
Providing direct supervision when necessary
Requirements:
Licensed in New York as Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Counselor, or Psychologist
2 years of clinical experience preferable working with adults
Management experience not required, but preferred
Knowledge of community base treatment preferred
Prior field work experience would be a big plus!
