Title: Nurse Manager

Location: Yonkers, NY

Responsibilities of Nurse Manager:

• Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to nursing staff, ensuring patient safety and care excellence 24/7.

• Oversee care planning for each resident, guiding clinical teams to achieve individualized health goals.

• Serve as an advocate for residents and families, offering leadership and support during crises.

• Foster a collaborative, child- and family-centered environment that reflects the organization’s mission and values.

• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing programs and staff schedules to meet resident needs.

• Ensure regulatory compliance, including completion of MDS and Care Plans on schedule.

• Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, including audits, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.

• Manage neighborhood budgets, staffing, and resources while ensuring high-quality, cost-effective care.

• Mentor and evaluate assistant nurse managers, charge nurses, and clinical staff to support growth and professional excellence.

• Collaborate with physicians, families, educators, and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of care.

• Promote infection control standards and enforce organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements of Nurse Manager:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years as an RN, with at least 3 years in a supervisory leadership role; pediatric or adolescent chronic/restorative care experience strongly preferred.

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required); Master of Science in Nursing (required).

• Licensure/Certifications: Active New York State RN license, BCLS, and PALS certification.

• Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, leadership in change management, emotional intelligence, and the ability to foster team development.
