Job Summary:The Nurse Navigator oversees the multitude of clinical aspects of an active Breast Center, while working in the support of the broader Program in Women's Oncology. The Nurse Navigator is responsible for coordinating health education for patients. Works collaboratively with the Sr. Division Manager on the daily associated clinical activities for the Breast Health Center. Supervises the Care Coordinators as necessary. Assists in the research of the medical aspects of particular studies. Reports as part of the CNE Cancer Institute (CNECI). Performs other related duties as requested or directed.
Specifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with 3 to 5 years nursing experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Must have and maintain CPR certification. Oncology Nursing Society certification preferred and or obtained within two years of hire. Nursing Navigation Certification Preferred and or obtained within two years of hire. Must have current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Rhode Island. Must be proficient in the English language.
