Location:In California, with 360 days of sunshine, located approximately 107 miles east of Los Angeles and 123 miles northeast of San Diego. This desert resort community is nestled at the base of the Mount San Jacinto Mountains and is known for its crystal blue skies, stunning landscape, palm tree lined streets and starry nights. It's core shopping district features vintage boutiques, interior design shops and restaurants. The surrounding Coachella Valley offers hiking, biking and horseback riding trails.Facility:387-bed tertiary acute care facility and is the only Level I Trauma Center in Coachella Valley, serving more than 8,000 square miles of Southeastern CaliforniaOpportunity:
- A full-time position is 7.5 24-hour in-house shifts/month = 2190 hours annually
- Will consider someone who wants to work a minimum of 6 24-hourshifts/month (still benefit eligible)
- Location is outside the city
- 2 OB Hospitalists in-house 24/7 - never on shift alone
- Responsibilities include delivery attendance, OB triage, patient evaluation/management, surgical assists, fetal monitoring and ER coverage
- MFM performs rounds and inpatient consults with high risk patients
- Practice attends about 60 deliveries per month
- 30-bed community Level-III NICU/newborns 23 weeks and above
- Affiliated maternal-fetal medicine and neonatology practice support
- Teaching opportunities with fellows, residents and medical students.
