Fitness Director
Objective: To supervise, train, and evaluate all personal trainers and finess counselors and implement guidelines for establishing a safe and effective fitness program within the club.
Reports to: General Manager
Game Plan:
1. Recruit and train all personal trainers and fitness staff.
2. Effectively schedule all trainers and fitness staff to provide the highest quality service for the club.
3. BUdget and track personal training revenues.
4. Integrate fitness programming and group exercise programs.
5. Implement and coordinate all in-house fitness programs for member retention.
6. Schedule and conduct fitness assessments.
7. Track and update staff certifications.
8. Provide effective feedback to fitness staff on a regular basis.
9. Provide continuing education opportunities for fitness staff.
10. Contribute material to the newsletter pertaining to their club.
11. Organize and conduct monthly fitness staff meetings.
12. Maintain established parameters for safety and cleanliness on the fitness floor.
13. Develop personal growth by attending seminars and conventions, expanding certifications, and= through self-education.
14. Maintain a regular pool-testing schedule.
15. Monitor and process all fitness staff payroll.
16. Communicate effectively with other department heads, managers, sales, and corporate staff.
17. Support and promote all club events and activities.
18. Perform daily walk-through of club and report any maintenance issues to appropriate person.
19. Monitor and maintain maintenance log, inputting new maintenance issues daily.
20. Set individual personal training goals and hold weekly training sessions.
21. Meet monthly personal training goals provided by upper management.
