Position DetailsLocation:Verellen Elementary, Great Start Readiness Preschool Program
Hours:Monday-Thursday, 7.5 hours per day (7:00am-2:26pm), $15.00 per hour; occasional Friday trainings
We are seeking a full-time Aide to assist in the GSRP classroom. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and be able to provide support to the classroom teacher in implementing educational activities and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical demands of the job including lifting, bending,stooping, squatting, and standing for long periods of time
- Provide individual and small group instruction to children in need of extra assistance
- Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all children
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtime, rest time and other activities
- Communicate regularly with the classroom teacher to ensure the needs of all children are being met.
- Participate in GSRP required trainings (Safe schools/ Health and safety refresher and CPR)
