What does a successful Senior Software Developer – Full stack do at Fiserv?
We design and deliver scalable, secure full‑stack software that advances financial services by leading technical direction, building and maintaining high‑quality front‑ and back‑end applications, collaborating across teams to solve client problems, and mentoring colleagues to raise the team’s performance.
What you will do:
- Lead end-to-end design, development and implementation of software that meets business and client needs by partnering with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications within Agile delivery cycles.
- Write, test and debug production‑grade front‑end and back‑end code, and deliver reliable, high‑quality features.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases, drive peer reviews and enforce coding standards to ensure long‑term maintainability and quality.
- Implement, operate and support CI/CD and DevOps practices to automate builds, tests and deployments and accelerate reliable delivery.
- Mentor and coach junior developers, share technical guidance and best practices, and help the team continuously raise its performance.
What you will need to have:
- 8+ years building full‑stack applications with Java / J2EE and front‑end technologies such as Struts, JSP and React.
- 5+ years designing, querying and optimizing SQL databases and data integrations.
- 2+ years working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) combined with 2+ years implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation for scalable, reliable delivery.
- 5+ years contributing in Agile teams, collaborating across functions to plan, deliver and iterate on features.
