Center For Family Services is seeking an experienced Bus Driver for our Head Start Program. This individual will Transport children or adults to school, Centers and or Programs for related activities. The Bus Driver ensures safety of passengers and pedestrians and transports equipment and supplies from site to site. The Bus Driver is also responsible for maintaining a clean vehicle interior and exterior, performing daily vehicle inspections and routine maintenance of the vehicle.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Bus Driver provides leadership to staff and promotes a sense of agency with co-workers and staff and also treats colleagues and students with respect and dignity. This individual is familiar with Department of Transportation Regulations, obeys all laws and regulations, follows all CFS Head Start transportation policies and procedures and maintains route schedule. The Bus Driver reports damage or malfunction immediately and performs emergency bus drills. This individual promotes and provides culturally competent client care and staff interactions that respond respectfully to the strengths and skills of diverse ethnicity, cultures and other diversity related factors and attends all required staff meetings and activities. The Bus Driver attends classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction prior to transporting children and receives annual refresher training. This individual submits to mandatory, random drug screenings. The Bus Driver reports any information or concerns about families to the staff and collaborates with the bus aid to teach children safe riding practices. The Bus Driver maintains accurate records regarding the vehicle and children who are being transported.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Maintain First Aid and CPR certifications
- Must pass TB test, drug screening and physical examination with good hearing and vision exam
- Excellent driving record and current driver's license with a driving record of at least three years
- Vehicle with current insurance and registration
