A detail-oriented and efficient Cafe Food Runner is responsible for ensuring all food orders are accurately prepared and presented according to outlet specifications. FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort and Casino.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist guests professionally and meet their needs.
• Coordinate food orders between kitchen and service staff for timely delivery.
• Verify plate accuracy before serving and ensure proper food presentation.
• Inspect dishes for quality, temperature, and portion standards.
• Communicate with chefs and servers to prioritize orders during peak times.
• Manage ticket times and adjust pacing based on guest needs.
• Arrange and garnish plates per outlet specifications.
• Monitor ticket queues and relay special requests to kitchen staff.
• Perform side work: restocking, cleaning, and organizing dishware.
• Maintain a clean expediter area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
• Adhere to company policies and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Maintain a safe working environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Incumbent is responsible for protecting the assets of Pechanga Resort Casino and for maintaining and providing a positive and professional work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED required; Six months of experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. This position also requires the ability to write simple correspondence. Furthermore, this position also requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position requires the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
