Job Details:

CNC Machinist Second Shift 3:00PM - 11:00PM

Responsible for setup and operate the CNC equipment to which they are assigned, safely and efficiently. Must be able to read and understand drawing/prints. Must be able to use Quality Control measuring tools to ensure a quality product is produced. Must understand “G” & “M” codes and be able to edit machine programs.

Duties

  • Knowledge and experience with Hass and Okuma machines
  • Read and understand the drawings and prints required for the assigned job, knowledge of size and tolerance and finish requirements.
  • Know how to use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, and any other measuring device required to ensure a quality product.
  • Knowledge of basic “G” & “M” codes and ability to read and edit machine programs at the machines.
  • Basic computer skills to upload and download machine programs.
  • The ability to instruct an operator in the loading, machining process, unloading, deburring and other functions.
  • Help operators address any “issues” that may arise during the machining process.
  • Knowledge and use a computer to enter production information into a production tracking system.
  • Setup sheets and Serial Number Tracking Sheet.
  • Strive to improve workstation performance, reducing part-to-part times, increasing production efficiency, decreasing setup times through more efficient fixtures.
  • Take directions from immediate supervisor and designated management representatives.
  • Be able to work overtime.
  • CNC machining skills, including work holding, tooling, setup, fixture and tool offsets and program editing is required.
  • Knowledge of quality control measuring tool is required.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing – assembly drawings is required.
  • Good communication skills are required.

This position requires two plus years of hands-on industrial CNC Machining experience. Associates degree, Certified Technical Trade School, and/or work experience.

US citizenship, green card, perm resident, is required. This is a second shift 3:00PM to 11:00PM position.

A generous salary $25.00 - $30.00 hourly and benefits package will be provided. PTO and medical benefits.
