Position Overview

Our expert clinicians utilize continuing medical education to further research and enhance collaboration, leading to better patient outcomes.
This per diem position will be responsible for the care and management of cardiothoracic surgical patients in the ICU, such as:
- Work in conjunction with the attending cardiothoracic surgeon, and non-surgical providers, for medical care of cardiothoracic surgical patients.
- Perform initial evaluation, history, and physical examination of all assigned patients.
- Placement of invasive monitoring lines including central venous catheters, dialysis lines, and arterial access.
- Participate in ongoing education, quality, and research projects.
- Contribute to service-related databases as indicated.
- Participate in education of patients and families during their inpatient course.
- Support the mission and goals of Lehigh Valley Health Network.
