Title: Occupational Therapist – School & Residential Setting

Deliver individual and group occupational therapy sessions in accordance with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.

A leading educational and residential program is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team. This is a unique opportunity to provide both direct therapy and consultative support to students across school and residential environments. Title: Occupational Therapist – School & Residential Setting

Location: Rochester, NY Area

Salary: $65,000 to $75,000

Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individual and group occupational therapy sessions in accordance with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

Conduct formal assessments and observational evaluations across educational and residential settings.

Collaborate closely with educators, clinicians, residential staff, and families to support skill development and therapeutic carryover throughout the day.

Create individualized treatment plans and set measurable goals.

Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to direct care and educational staff to ensure consistency of therapeutic approaches.

Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, including IEP, CSE, and residential planning sessions.

Support family education and training to enhance at-home reinforcement of therapeutic strategies.

Maintain detailed documentation, progress notes, and compliance with agency and regulatory standards.

Contribute to team-based evaluations and assist in determining ongoing eligibility for services.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.

Active and valid New York State Occupational Therapy License.

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in pediatric, school-based, or residential OT settings (strongly preferred).

Ability to function as an active member of a multidisciplinary team.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
