Fitness Counselor
Objective: To provide exceptional customer service to all members by setting up exercise programs and giving suggestions and assistance conerning exercise. To encourage participation of club designated fitness programs.
Reports to: Fitness Director
Game Plan:
1. Arrive 5 - 10 minutes early, dressed in appropriate uniform and prepared for the 1st appointment or job task.
2. To provide a minimum of one program check per hour.
3. Greet and meet 5 new members per day.
4. Provide safe and effective fitness programs.
5. To orient new members on proper use of equipment.
6. Observe fitness area to ensure member safety and enforce all rules and regulations.
7. To schedule and conduct fitness assessments.
8. Start and end appointments on time.
9. To maintain and clean the fitness equipment and fitness area.
10. To provide members with updated fitness techniques and knowledge by attending seminars, acquiring national certifications within 6 months and reading trade manuals.
11. To accelerate members goals by generating personal training contracts and performing personal training sessions.
12. To interact with members to assure satisfaction with their fitness program.
13. When not training, orienting, assessing, the counselor is expected to assist members with fitness needs, fulfill them, and constantly look for fitness equipment that needs attention.
14. Attend mandatory department meetings.
15. Consistantly promote ongoing activities to members.
