Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivatedAssistant Program Directorto support the administration and leadership of our nursing program in San Jose, CA. This key role assists the Administrative Nursing Director and Chief Academic Officer with program development, coordination, and strategic planning while maintaining high standards for teaching, student outcomes, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate is anursing professional with a blend of clinical, teaching, and administrative expertise, capable of leading both faculty and students to achieve academic and programmatic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, manage, and evaluate all aspects of the nursing program

  • Prepare reports, proposals, self-studies, and documentation required by state and Nursing Board regulations

  • Ensure compliance with

  • BVNPT regulations
  • , including timely reporting of faculty changes
  • Develop and implement program policies, procedures, and clinical partnerships

  • Conduct

  • clinical site evaluations
  • to ensure safe, effective learning environments and staffing adequacy
  • Supervise faculty scheduling, assignments, and orientation

  • Monitor quality of instruction and participate in

  • faculty and program evaluation
  • and strategic planning
  • Provide academic advising, student orientation, and support for clinical and lab experiences

  • Maintain and update clinical contracts, educational partnerships, and advisory committee communications

  • Participate in

  • faculty recruitment, hiring, mentoring, and professional development
  • Teach up to

  • 50% of assigned courses or clinical rotations
  • Maintain current knowledge of state nursing regulations and standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • MSN degreepreferred
  • 3+ years of leadership experiencein nursing education or administration
  • 3+ years as a Nursing Instructorin Vocational or RN programs
