The Application Analyst will develop and/or maintain moderately complex to complex software components of the business application system utilizing available developer tools. Roughly 80% software development and 20% analysis.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and/or maintain moderately complex to complex software components of the business application system utilizing available developer tools.
- Create, execute and review test plans, define and establish test data.
- Create and maintain software documentation and query and report system data using reporting tools.
Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:
5+ years of software application development experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology or related field or equivalent experience Experience with COBOL, MVS/JCL, DB2, SQL, CICS, and VSAM in a mainframe environment. SAS or WPS skill are preferred Strong experience with concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications Strong experience with storage and retrieval of information in databases and other indexed storage methods Experience with using a formalized software development lifecycle methodology Experience in defining and documenting system changes and obtaining approval from the business units and senior IT staff Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio
