Central New York Psychiatric Center is recruiting for Licensed Master Social Worker to provide professional social work services to individuals with mental illness. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.

As a Licensed Master Social Worker, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides culturally competent and evidence-based treatment and support services in a recovery-oriented environment to individual with mental illness.

Duties include:

• Providing crisis intervention, service linkages, and discharge planning

• Developing treatment plans with individuals and treatment team; monitoring and evaluating progress; and modifying treatment plans as needed

• Determining discharge needs and appropriate community resources

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with community providers to ensure continuity of care

The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy.Minimum QualificationsCandidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they are licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

OR

Candidates within State Service can be considered transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

There are 2 vacancies at Central New York Psychiatric Center's Elmira Satellite Unit located on the grounds of Elmira Correctional Facility in Chemung County.
