- Per Diem
- Morning hours of 5:00am - 7:00am
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture, arterial puncture, and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages.
- Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling of all specimens.
- Maintain specimen integrity by following proper collection, handling, and transportation procedures.
- Assist with processing and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and compassionate care to patients.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of procedures performed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, nursing staff, and laboratory personnel.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of six (6) months of previous phlebotomy experience required.
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
- Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement.
