We are hiring a Part-Time Dental Assistant to replace our beloved assistant who is retiring. Key Responsibilities
• Chairside Assistance: Provide chairside support during periodontal surgeries and routine exams, ensuring patient comfort and efficient four-handed dentistry.
• Imaging: Take dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photos to assist in diagnosis and maintain comprehensive patient records.
• Impressions & Models: Take accurate impressions and pour dental models for study casts, appliances, and implant restorations.
• Sterilization & Infection Control: Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols to keep our treatment areas safe and clean.
• Operatory Turnover & Records: Efficiently turn over operatories between patients and keep detailed patient charts/records up to date.
• Patient Education: Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices, answering questions to ensure they feel comfortable and informed.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a dental assistant (periodontal or surgical assisting experience is a plus).
• Certification: Current X-ray certification in Pennsylvania (required).
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required); completion of an accredited dental assisting program (preferred).
• Skills: Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask effectively in a clinical setting.
• Work Ethic: Reliable and punctual, with a strong willingness to learn and be coached.
• Patient Care Mindset: Positive attitude and compassionate approach to patient care, with excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
