Position Overview
TheSenior Project Engineerwill assist theProject ManagerandSuperintendentin coordinating project execution, managing documentation, maintaining cost controls, and supporting schedule performance. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that project objectives related tobudget, quality, and safetyare achieved while maintaining clear communication between the field, clients, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and process
- change proposals, change orders, and owner payment applications .
Track
job costs, prepare- quantity and labor cost reports , and support quarterly
- profit analysis .
Coordinate and lead the
- project closeout process , ensuring all documentation and deliverables are completed accurately.
Research and propose
- quality control solutions ; verify field work for compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes.
Support project leadership in
- planning, scheduling, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with
- field operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.
Assist with
- document control, cost tracking, and subcontractor coordination .
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
- Engineering, Construction Management , or related field.
Minimum
- 10+ years of construction industry experience .
Background in
electrical contractingor- transportation/mass transit projects preferred.
Experience in
- traffic signal systems or street lighting projects is a plus.
Strong understanding of
- contracting principles, cost control, and scheduling methodologies .
Excellent
- communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
