Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quality Manager to support and lead quality operations in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for delivering quality objectives, supporting launch activities, developing teams, and driving continuous improvement across key performance metrics and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely execution of all quality engineering deliverables including Quality Objectives, MSA, Control Plans, Capability Studies, Part Inspections, and Customer PPAPs

  • Lead Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) activities including Control Plans, FMEAs, PPAPs, dimensional layouts, gage/fixture design, and performance/material testing

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within supplier quality for successful launches

  • Ensure compliance with TS16949 quality systems, policies, and procedures

  • Build internal relationships to remove roadblocks and ensure smooth program execution

  • Lead and manage Quality Engineers, including staffing, training, development plans, and performance reviews

  • Participate in program reviews, phase exit reviews, and monthly assessments of all QE deliverables

  • Utilize advanced statistical methods, design of experiments (DoE), and structured problem-solving techniques

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality performance and customer satisfaction

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and compliance with company safety policies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Automotive manufacturing experience is mandatory

  • Hands-on experience in Quality disciplines including TS16949/ISO standards, PPAP, FMEA, APQP, SPC, DoE, and continuous improvement practices

  • Proven ability to lead quality teams and manage large-scale quality operations

  • Strong communication and organizational skills with high ethical standards
