Summary
Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Procedural) - Reconstructive Oncology Department
Based in theReconstructive Oncology Departmentat ourMcKinley Campus.TheNurse Practitioneror Physician Assistantprovides patient care under the auspices of theMoffitt Medical Group (MMG)and serves as member of the academic medical enterprise; advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.
Position Highlights:
·Position supports the Reconstructive Surgical Oncology service and patients.
·Assists physicians with the evaluation, management and treatment of Surgical Oncology related disorders along with assisting in the Operating Room/Procedure Suites and performing minor procedures in surgical clinics
·Works within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or by specific protocol(s).

·Clinical experience and expertise with assisting in the OR and performing minor procedures autonomously along with identifying and treating surgical oncology related issues.

Responsibilities:
·Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with many specialists to coordinate and optimize patient care.
*Provides appropriate assistance in the Operating Room to the Reconstructive Oncology/Micro surgeons
·Correlates subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis.
·Formulates treatment plans for conditions within scope of practice.
·Will perform minor procedures and biopsy type procedures within scope of practice.
·Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate, within the scope of practice.
·Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules.
Credentials and Qualifications:
·Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.
·Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
·Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and certification by the appropriate accreditation body.
·Active BLS and ACLS (must be AHA approved)
·Experience in surgical oncology preferred
